The carvings in the group below are all based on three dimensional figures from all over the world, with the Pacific represented prominently. Most of the originals are carved from wood, some of stone and a few are pottery. Their ages vary from quite recent to many thousand of years old. Their uses are mostly unknown, but most seemed to have some kind of religious function. |

This last group are all Maori based, with the tooth form as a base. The bone is cow bone again. The Maori made some pendants in tooth form, they used whale teeth split into slivers, and later, as pigs got introduced, pig tusks as well. |
